This book was written by Chelsea Arnold, a Type 1 Diabetic and advocate for people living with Type 1 Diabetes. Chelsea has worked within the diabetic community for over a decade and is very familiar with the myths and misconceptions surrounding Type 1 Diabetes.
This book was illustrated by artist Silver Mandala and features rich and medically accurate hand drawn art. Silver does a wonderful job showing the great diversity within the Type 1 Diabetic community. Type 1 Diabetes affects people of all ages, ethnicities, genders, and abilities and that is beautifully illustrated within this book.
